During the evening on Thursday October 5th, Shelburne Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. spot check in the town of Shelburne.
A black Ford entered the spot check which caught an officer’s attention. The officer initiated a road side investigation, resulting in the driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, arrested for drug possession.
A search of the vehicle resulted in almost 80 grams of marijuana, two syringes with cannabis concentrate, and a small amount of cocaine seized.
As a result, 24 year old Michael Bisson of Welland was charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
He was provided a first appearance court date in early November at the Orangeville Court House to answer to the allegations.
