On the evening of Saturday September 10th, Shelburne Police responded to a fail to remain motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Main Street West and Gordon Street.  Thankfully there were no injuries in this incident.

One of the cars involved in the collision fled the scene with some significant damage.  Shelburne Police located that vehicle and the driver shortly after the collision was reported.

Due to the condition the driver of the fleeing vehicle, he was examined by a Drug Recognition Expert from Orangeville Police.

As a result of the investigation, 25 year old Keith Degasperis was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by a Drug.  He was provided a court date in late September to answer to the allegations.
