Man Arrested and Charged in $12,600.00 Jewelry Theft From a Home

In early March, a Shelburne resident reported a theft of custom gold jewelry from his home.  The allegation was that approximately $12,600.00 worth of jewelry was stolen from the complainant’s home at the end of February.

Shelburne Police launched an investigation which soon identified the suspect; however police were unable to immediately locate or contact him.  An arrest warrant was issued for the suspect.

On Thursday March 23rd, the suspect was located and arrested by Peel Regional Police.  He was returned to Shelburne Police, and as a result 24 year old Ashish MANN of Etobicoke was charged with Theft Over $5000.00 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, both under the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was provided a first appearance court date in mid-April at the Orangeville Courthouse to answer to the allegations.
