Seventeen Year Old Injured In Dirt Bike Accident

At a few minutes after midnight on Saturday October 8th, Shelburne Police were called to a dirt bike accident on the old rail trail at Main Street West.

The driver of the dirt bike was a youth.  The youth suffered serious injuries to his leg when he struck a steel barrier designed to keep large vehicle off the trail.

No charges have been laid at this time, however the investigation into the incident is continuing.

Shelburne Police are reminding the public that motorcycles and dirt bikes are restricted from operating on the rail trail system.
