On Tuesday January 31st, in the late evening, Shelburne Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E. spot check on a residential street in Shelburne.
During this spot check a blue Toyota entered the program. Officers quickly noted indicators that marijuana was in the vehicle. As a result the driver was arrested for possession of marijuana. The driver and vehicle were searching resulting in approximately 10 grams of marijuana seized.
The accused, 18 year old Jozeff Brown of Shelburne was charged with possession of marijuana under 30g contrary to Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
The accused was released on an Appearance Notice with a first appearance court date in late February at the Orangeville Court House to answer to the allegations.
