On the morning of February 10, 2018, the Shelburne Police received a call from a citizen that had concerns about a male with a weapon. Shelburne police officers immediately responded to a residence in Shelburne where they took a man into custody for several weapons related offences.
As a result of the investigation, a Shelburne man was charged with the following weapons offences:
- 2 counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
- 2 counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- 2 counts of careless storage of a firearm
The man was also charged with other Criminal Code and Controlled Drug and Substance Act offences. A court date in Orangeville has been set in March for the male to answer to these allegations.
