Close to noon on Saturday December 17th, while conducting patrols, Shelburne Police noted a car that caught their attention. It was cold winter weather that day and among other things, the driver’s window was open.
The officer approached the vehicle to find what appeared to be marijuana smoke billowing from the car. An investigation was launched, and as a result the lone occupant of the vehicle was arrested for possession of marijuana. A quantity of marijuana was seized as well as some drug paraphernalia.
As a result 23 year old Brent MacLennan of Orangeville was charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 30g contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act. The accused has a first appearance court date in January to answer to the allegations.
