Shelburne Police Execute Drug Search Warrant – Male Faces 16 Charges

Shelburne Police Service conducted an investigation and executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant on an apartment in Shelburne late Saturday evening.

Due to the investigation and the search warrant, significant quantities of six types of illegal drugs were seized, as well as over $1000.00 cash, and other evidence of drug trafficking.

The drugs seized include Cocaine, Fentanyl, Shatter, LSD, Hash Oil, and Marihuana.  The total street value of the seized drugs is estimated at over $10,000.00.

A Shelburne man, 30 year old Richard Bannerman faces 16 Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substance Act charges. They include six charges for Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking, six charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, one count of Possession of Proceeds of Crime, one count of Assault, one count of Assault Resist Arrest, and one count of Mischief.

Bannerman was held in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
