Shelburne Police Investigate Attempt Thefts from Unlocked Vehicles

The Shelburne Police Service continues to investigate several attempt thefts of items from unlocked vehicles.

Sometime between 10:00 pm and the early morning hours of July 6th and 7th, police say suspect(s) entered several unlocked motor vehicles in the north east part of town.

It is not believed any items were stolen however property inside the vehicles, including the contents of the glove boxes were thrown about.  It is believed the suspect(s) were scared off by a resident who heard noises outside.

Police advise residents to be proactive when it comes to their personal safety by removing valuables and always locking their vehicles at night. Other prevention tips include installing motion-activated outdoor lights and audible car alarms.  The Shelburne Police Service urges citizens to report any suspicious activity immediately.
