Shelburne Police were conducting a R.I.D.E. program during the early hours of Thursday July 27th. Shortly after 1am a vehicle entered the check stop. This vehicle and its driver caught the attention of one of the police officers resulting in a roadside investigation.
As a result of this investigation, over 80 grams of marijuana was seized. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – Over 30g Marijuana, under the federal Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused was provided a first appearance court date in August at the Orangeville Court House to answer to the allegations.
