Shelburne Police Thanks Community and Businesses For Successful ‘Stuff the Cruiser’

Shelburne Police extends a thank-you to the community and all the businesses that contributed to another successful “stuff-a-cruiser’ campaign in December.

On Saturday December 9th and 16th officers from Shelburne Police were set up at Foodland, Giant Tiger and No Frills to collect food, toys and cash donations which were distributed to Dufferin Child and Family Services and the Salvation Army.

“The public response to this annual event was excellent again this year, and we thank everyone who donated to this worthy cause” stated Sergeant Paul Neumann.

A special thank you is extended to No Frills, Giant Tiger, and Foodland for their promotion and accommodation to this event.

Almost $700.00 in cash and gift certificates was raised, plus a trailer full of toys and food.

The largest donation was from Giant Tiger from their Angel Tree Fundraiser. This event raised over $2000.00 which Giant Tiger used to purchase toys and gifts for this event.
