During the early evening hours on Friday February 24th, a Shelburne Police officer investigated a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act offence.
When the officer spoke with the occupants of the vehicle, the officer made observations leading to the belief that marijuana was in the car or on the occupants.
A roadside investigation ensued resulting in the occupants being arrested and 44.9 grams of marijuana being seized.
As a result two females were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. The accused are 22 year old Reilly Nicholson and 26 year old Sydney Waithe – both from Scarborough.
The two accused have first appearance court dates in late March at the Orangeville Court House to answer to the allegations.
